Starting August 9th, the Detroit Tigers and Comerica Bank will encourage students to complete a financial literacy challenge by completing a series of baseball themed worksheets on “Needs vs Wants”. Upon completion of the worksheets, students will be asked to submit a photo of the worksheets to be entered in a drawing for an autographed Miguel Cabrera jersey.

Starting early September, students will be encouraged to learn about the legendary Roberto Clemente through a video contest. Students will be asked to record a video discussing one fact they learned about Roberto Clemente and nominate an individual in their community that they feel embodies the humanitarian lifestyle of Roberto Clemente. The winner of the contest and the individual nominated will be invited down to Comerica Park to be recognized during Roberto Clemente Day on Wednesday, September 15th. A $1,000 grant will be provided to the nominee’s charity of choice.
